Gazal by Nasir Kazmi
Nasir Kazmi ( born 08.12.1925 — died 02.03.1972), whose full name was Syed Nasir Raza Kasmi was born in Ambala, Punjab but later migrated to Pakistan. He was known for using common words like chand, raat, barrish, mausam, yaad, tanhai and weave these in small simple short verses and still create a magical effect. In 2013, Pakistan Post released a commemorative stamp of value Rs 15, in his honour in its series “ Men of Letters”.
Hariharan ( Born 03.04.1955), whose full name is Hariharan Anantha Subramani is an Indian who has recorded more than 15000 songs in ten regional languages although he sings predominantly in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. He was honoured with Padma Shri in 2004.

मिरा इलाज मिरे चारा-गर के पास नहीं
She is kind, benevolent but is not worldly wise enough to judge people,
My doctor does not have a treatment for my ailment!
तड़प रहे हैं ज़बाँ पर कई सवाल मगर
मिरे लिए कोई शायान-ए-इल्तिमास नहीं
There are several questions on my lips;
Alas! there is no one who values my requests, my queries!!
तिरे जिलौ में भी दिल काँप काँप उठता है
मिरे मिज़ाज को आसूदगी भी रास नहीं
Even under your protection, my heart trembles with fear!
My temperament does not appreciate tranquillity!!
कभी कभी जो तिरे क़ुर्ब में गुज़ारे थे
अब उन दिनों का तसव्वुर भी मेरे पास नहीं
The days that I spent in your proximity, togetherness !
Now I do not have even a thought or memory of those days!!
गुज़र रहे हैं अजब मरहलों से दीदा-ओ-दिल
सहर की आस तो है ज़िंदगी की आस नहीं
My heart and eyes are passing through strange phases,stages!
There is hope for the coming dawn but there is no hope of life!!
मुझे ये डर है तिरी आरज़ू न मिट जाए
बहुत दिनों से तबीअ’त मिरी उदास नहीं
I dread, fear what if I loose any desire and passion for you?
Now for several days I have not felt sad or lonely in your absence!!

Muhammad Ali Khan has a voice that reminds listeners of legendary Jagjit Singh, the master craftsman. He is a Pakistani singer who has leanings towards Sufi music.
Amit Diwadkar is a young artist who was fortunate to receive training in Samvadhni from Pandit Manohar Chimte, Tabla from Ustad Allarkha and vocal from Ustad Moin Khan . He was fortunate to have performed alongwith greats including Pandit Birju Maharaj,Smt Shaswati Sen, Late O.P. Nayyer and late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. He was awarded ‘All India Swarsadhana Award in 1994 and 1996. He was awarded Government of India scholarship for talented musician for the year 2003–2004. He is based in Sydney.
