ख़मोश लब हैं झुकी हैं पलकें दिलों में उल्फ़त नई नई है
Shabeena Adeeb ( Born 27th December 1974) is an Indian poet who has written several gazals and published her first book in 2007 ‘Tum mere pas raho’. Here she narrates a well established concept in Indian folklore!

ख़मोश लब हैं झुकी हैं पलकें दिलों में उल्फ़त नई नई है
अभी तकल्लुफ़ है गुफ़्तुगू में अभी मोहब्बत नई नई है
The lips are silent, the eyes are downcast, romance in the heart is so new!
There is formality in conversation, the love is so recent!!
अभी न आएगी नींद तुम को अभी न हम को सुकूँ मिलेगा
अभी तो धड़केगा दिल ज़ियादा अभी ये चाहत नई नई है
Now you would not get any sleep, nor will I get any peace of mind!
Now the heart would beat faster as the fondness is so new!!
बहार का आज पहला दिन है चलो चमन में टहल के आएँ
फ़ज़ा में ख़ुशबू नई नई है गुलों में रंगत नई नई है
Today is the first day of the spring, let us take a stroll in the garden.
The milieu has new flavours even flowers have new colours!!
जो ख़ानदानी रईस हैं वो मिज़ाज रखते हैं नर्म अपना
तुम्हारा लहजा बता रहा है तुम्हारी दौलत नई नई है
The ancestrally rich have the attribute of a mild temperament!
Your rude intonation shows that you wealth is very very recent!!
ज़रा सा क़ुदरत ने क्या नवाज़ा कि आ के बैठे हो पहली सफ़ में
अभी से उड़ने लगे हवा में अभी तो शोहरत नई नई है
Just because the nature has felicitated you , you have the temerity to come and sit in the front row!
You have started behaving pompously although your fame is so new!!
बमों की बरसात हो रही है पुराने जाँबाज़ सो रहे हैं
ग़ुलाम दुनिया को कर रहा है वो जिस की ताक़त नई नई है
There is constant bombardment but the old stalwarts are sleeping!
One whose power is so recent, is making the World a slave!!
Ustad Shujaat Khan ( Born 19.05.1960)is a famous musician, singer and sitar player, who belongs to the Imdadkhani gharana. He has recorded more than 100 albums. His style of sitar playing is known as ‘gayaki aang’,imitates the subtleties of human voice!
He started his sitar training at the age of THREE!, on a especially made small sitar, under his father legendary sitar player Ustad Vilayat Khan. He had the privilege of learning from legends like Bhimsen Joshi, Vidushi Kishori Amolkar, Ustad Amir Khan. His memorable performances include appearances at Royal Albert Hall London, Royal Hall at Los Angles, Congress Hall in Berlin.
SatyaPrakash and DevPrakash Mishra, who sing under the name Mishra Bandhu, have seemingly made a departure from their bhajan singing but the rendition is interesting.
Junaid Sultani ( Born 22.02/1991) is an Indian singer who specialises in Sufi genre. He learnt music from his uncle Padma Vibushan Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan. He belongs to Rampur Sahaswan Gharana. Junaid mostly concentrates on Hindi songs and has produced some popular numbers like ‘Khwab mein chehre nazar aane lage…( released on 23.06.2021 and received 575000 views ).’Bada kamzor hota hai yeh dhaga…. (released on 23.03.2021 and received 22000 views).’
